Double in Trouble

Fawcett Gold Medal Books, 1959

Put them both together...They spell murder

Me? I'm Shell Scott. I'm a private eye. A happy-go-lookie private eye when it comes to a blonde, brunette or redhead client. I love my work, too, but this caper was the toughest assignment I'd ever - er - handled. And when I heard that East Coast dick Chester Drum was on the case, I'd knew he'd be a sore appendix in my side.

The name is Chester Drum. I'm a private eye operating out of Washington. I keep one finger on the nation's pulse and another on the trigger of my .357 Magnum. I've been involved with everything from bumptious belly dancers to dipsomaniac diplomats. But I never knew what trouble really meant until I met that wastrel West Coast shamus, Shell Scott.

Shell Scott and Chester Drum don't see eye to eye in Double in Trouble
