The
Bloodshot Eye was an original story written by Richard S. Prather for
the June 1966 issue of Shell Scott Mystery Magazine. It was never
reprinted anywhere else. Unless you've seen this magazine you probably never
had an opportunity to read this story...until now. Through special arrangement
with Richard S. Prather we are proud to reissue it here. This website is the
only place to get The Bloodshot Eye (unless somebody horks it for
their site then I'll just be ticked off)! I'd like to thank Richard S. Prather
for his permission and Don Spears for transcribing it and for his help on
